Broker Continuing Education Services

ALL NEW YORK health and life insurance brokers and agents must complete 15 credits of Continuing Education (CE) during each two year licensing period. All courses must be completed through a Provider Organization (Provider) approved by the New York State Insurance Department.

Qualification Requirements for an Approved New York State Insurance Department Educator

There are only five types of organizations that can be approved by the New York State Insurance Department’s Continuing Education Program provide Continuing Education courses to insurance agents, brokers and consultants:

  • Degree conferring college, university or proprietary school,
  • New York authorized insurance company,
  • Licensees’ Association,
  • Trade Association or
  • Institution satisfactory to the Superintendent
